Holland Tulip Festival
Day 1 – Monday, May 9 – A morning departure will start this fun-filled tour to the Holland Tulip Festival in Holland, Michigan. The Tulip Festival features over 750,000 tulips in the city parks, public areas and along city streets. Travels today take to the Radisson Hotel in Utica, New York, where a get-acquainted dinner is included.
Day 2 – Tuesday, May 10 – Breakfast is included at your hotel. Travels take you to the Holiday Inn in Southgate, Michigan where dinner is included this evening.
Day 3 – Wednesday, May 11 – Breakfast is included at your hotel before departing for Holland, Michigan. Upon arrival, lunch is included before enjoying the Volksparade from your reserved seats. (The Volksparade begins with hundreds of Dutch costumed townspeople armed with brooms and pails to scrub the parade route clean. Following the streetscrubbing, the Volksparade features dozens of colorful bands, floats and more!) After the parade, you’ll check into the Best Western Hotel before an included dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4 – Thursday, May 12 – Breakfast is included at your hotel. This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Holland to include historic areas, city parks, Tulip Lanes and more! This afternoon, visit Nelis Dutch Village, where wooden shoe carving, Amsterdam street organs, Dutch folk dancing and spectacular gardens are some of the sights you will see. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant before an included entertainment.
Day 5 – Friday, May 13 – After an included breakfast at your hotel, depart for Veldheer’s Tulip Farm, which features over 30 acres and 125 varieties of tulips and is the only Midwest working Tulip Farm. Next, enjoy an included lunch and entertainment before visiting Windmill Island and see first-hand America’s only 248 year old working Dutch windmill. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant followed by entertainment..
Day 6 – Saturday, May 14 – Breakfast is included at your hotel before bidding farewell to Holland. This afternoon, visit the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, where you will see a rich and diverse offering of exhibits, demonstrations, programs and reenactments. Among the artifacts are John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan’s presidential limousines, Rosa Park’s bus and the Goldenrod, a one-of-a-kind race car that shattered the world land speed record in 1965. Dinner is included this evening at your hotel the Holiday Inn in Southgate, Michigan.
Day 7 – Sunday, May 15 – Breakfast is included at your hotel. Travels today take you to the Radisson Hotel in Utica, New York where a farewell dinner is included this evening
Day 8 – Monday, May 16 – Breakfast is included at your hotel before departing for home with wonderful memories of your colorful tour to the Holland Tulip Festival.
