Your Tour Includes:  Roundtrip motorcoach transportation from Montreal, 13 nights of accommodations (combination of hotel and onboard the train), 23 meals, attractions as highlighted in the itinerary, luggage handling for one suitcase per person, hotel taxes, taxes and gratuities on included meals, an Atlantic Tours Limited guide and tour planning services.

Payment & Reservations:  A deposit of $500 per person is required to confirm reservations and is due at the time of booking.  Final payment is due by June 1, 2018.

Day 1 – Friday, September 7

A morning departure will start your exciting tour of Canada by Rail. Today, travel to Montreal, Quebec, where a get-acquainted dinner is included this evening.

Day 2 – Saturday, September 8

Breakfast is included at your hotel before joining the rest of your tour group at the Montreal VIA rail station. Upon arrival, meet your Atlantic Tours Limited guide and board Business Class to Toronto. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the Toronto before dining atop the world’s tallest building the – CN Tower, with its panoramic views of Toronto. At 10:00pm, depart Toronto on VIA Rail’s transcontinental train, restored to its original 1950’s style. “The Canadian” is a handsome stainless steel re-creation of the great era of train travel. Enjoy your private cabin… socialize over a drink with friends in the Mural Lounge..or ascend the staircase to the dome of the Park Car for coffee under the stars. Your private cabin is transformed into a cozy bedroom for a night’s rest. Lunch and dinner are included on board today.

Day 3 – Sunday, September 9

Breakfast is included onboard. After a peaceful night’s rest, awake and enjoy the view of the untamed wilderness of Northern Ontario. We will be traveling in the “Sleeper Plus” class, enjoying first class service. This sleek, polished and finely upholstered special section of the train is a reminder of how civilized rail travel can be. Cross the rugged rocks of the Canadian Shield to enter the Province of Manitoba while you sleep. Lunch and dinner are included on board today.

Day 4 – Monday, September 10

Breakfast is included onboard. Arrive in Manitoba’s capital city Winnipeg early this morning. There will be time to explore on your own before departing Winnipeg at 12:00pm. Guests will want to visit the Dome for sweeping views of the vast rolling prairies as we travel across Saskatchewan during the afternoon and into Alberta this evening. Lunch and dinner are included on board.

Day 5 – Tuesday, September 11

Continental breakfast is included on board. After passing Edmonton, Alberta’s capital, we will notice our first glimpse of the Canadian Rockies. You will be in awe of the majesty of the mountains as the train takes us to the charming mountain town of Jasper. Arrive in Jasper in the early afternoon and transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. Brunch is included today.

Day 6 – Wednesday, September 12

Breakfast is included at your hotel. No trip to Jasper National Park is complete without seeing Maligne Canyon and Lake, which is considered to be one of the most picturesque spots in the Canadian Rockies. Keep your eyes open for grizzly bears and other wildlife as you drive through the Park this morning. This afternoon is free to explore the city on your own. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 7 – Thursday, September 13

Breakfast is included at your hotel. Travel by motorcoach south on the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefields, where we board a sno-coach for a ride up the Athabasca Glacier (weather permitting). Continue along the parkway, whose scenery is rated “the most spectacular in the entire Canadian-National Parks System”, on route to Banff, a bustling resort village nestled under imposing peaks for a two night stay.

Day 8– Friday, September 14

Breakfast is included this morning. Today, enjoy a tour of Banff including Bow Falls, the Banff Springs Hotel, Tunnel Mountain and Sulpher Mountain Gondola to the top of Sulpher Mountain, where we can look down over the entire town of Banff. In addition to Banff, enjoy a trip to the “Jewell of the Canadian Rockies,” Lake Louise, one of the most photographed places in the world. See the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise surrounded by glistening glaciers and overlooking the crystal clear lakes.

Day 9 – Saturday, September 15

Breakfast is included this morning. Enjoy a free day at leisure in Banff to explore on your own.

Day 10 – Sunday, September 16

Breakfast is included this morning before boarding your train and pulling out of Banff Station on the “Rocky Mountaineer” two-day rail tour, “The Most Spectacular Train Trip in the World.” Sit back and relax in spacious, comfortable reclining seats with picture window…our meals will be served at our seats, along with snacks and nonalcoholic drinks. Our Onboard Service Attendant will provide interesting and informative commentary on the history and geography of the route. Travel through the snow-capped mountains of Banff, Yoho and Glacier National Park…twist a figure eight through the “Spiral Tunnels”…watch for wildlife on the Craigellachie, where in 1885, the last spike on the Canadian Pacific Railroad was driven. Overnight is in Kamloops. Lunch is included onboard today.

Day 11– Monday, September 17

Breakfast is included before you re-board the train to continue your journey westward through Canada’s semi-arid desert. Travel down the Thompson River, where whitewater rafters challenge the rapids at the Jaws of Death Gorge. Along the historic Fraser River, see Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon before entering the lush fertile fields of the Fraser Valley. In the late afternoon, arrive in Vancouver for a three-night stay. Lunch is included on board today.

Day 12 – Tuesday, September 18

Breakfast is included at your hotel. It’s an early start to enjoy a day trip to charming Victoria. Board the ferry to visit Vancouver Island. Visit Butchart Gardens, offering a magnificent array of flowers and trees. Victoria – “the Emerald of the West and Sunshine City,” is a regal capital with a British accent and old English charm. Your tour of the city includes Tudor-style buildings, parks, flower-lined streets and more. Return to your Vancouver hotel to overnight.

Day 13 – Wednesday, September 19

Breakfast is included this morning before departing on a city tour of Vancouver. See historic Gastown, 1000 acre Stanley Park, the downtown area, English Bay beaches, the waterfront and the third largest Chinatown in North America. This afternoon is free to pursue your own interests. This evening your Atlantic Tours Limited Tour Guide will host a farewell dinner.

Day 14 – Thursday, September 20

You have traveled Canada’s rails through five provinces…visited the picturesque resorts of Jasper and Banff…toured Victoria and Vancouver…and viewed the magnificent Canadian Rockies. Say goodbye to your Atlantic Tours Limited guide and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Montreal. Upon arrival, board your motorcoach for your trip home.
