Christmas in Stowe, Vermont

Day 1 – Thursday, December 2 – A morning departure will start this tour to beautiful Stowe, Vermont.  Upon arrival, you will check-in to your hotel the Commodores Inn, where a Welcome Reception will be held. A Dinner Buffet is included this evening at the Lighthouse Grill.

Day 2 – Friday, December 3 – A Country Breakfast Buffet is included at the inn. This morning you will travel to the Trapp Family Lodge where you will tour and learn about the Von Trapp family who made the lodge their own after leaving their beloved Austria during World War II. You will enjoy a Trapp history talk and view the documentary “The Real Maria”. You will then enjoy some free time in Stowe Village for lunch on your own. Save some room for ice cream as you go on to tour Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory where you find out how a $5.00 correspondence course turned into a very successful ice cream business. Dinner will be included at the Trapp Family Lodge “Bierhall”.

Day 3 – Saturday, December 4 – A Country Breakfast Buffet is included this morning before meeting your Local Guide for a day of touring. The touring will begin at the  Morse Maple Sugar Farm, Woodshed Theatre, and  Vermont Farm Life Museum. You will then travel to Monpelier and tour the State Capitol which is the smallest in the United States. The last stop of the day will bring you to the Cabot Cheese Annex where you can sample their award-winning cheeses. A three-Course dinner will be included this evening at the Trapp Family Lodge.

Day 4 - Sunday, December 5  - A Country Breakfast Buffet is included this morning before departing for home with memories of your visit to Stowe, Vermont.
