Payment & Reservations: A deposit of $200 per person is required to confirm reservations and is due at the time of booking.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Sunday, April 14 – An early morning departure will bring you to the Holiday Inn in Wilkes Barre, where a get acquainted dinner is included.

Day 2 – Monday, April 15 – Breakfast is included at your hotel before departing for Gettysburg, PA.  Upon arrival, at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor’s Center, view one of the world’s largest collections of artifacts and memorabilia from the American Civil War. While at the museum you will experience the, Film, A New Birth of Freedom, and Cyclorama before meeting your licensed battlefield guide for the Battlefield Tour.  Enjoy dinner this evening at Carriage House Inn, Emmitsburg, before checking in to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. 

Day 3 – Tuesday April 16 – Breakfast is included at your hotel  before visiting the Capitol Visitor Center, The United States Library of Congress, and the Supreme Court Building. This afternoon, visit Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington. Dinner is included this evening at Columbia Firehouse restaurant before a guided ghost tour of historic Alexandria

Day 4 – Wednesday, April 17 – Breakfast is included at your hotel.  This morning, visit Arlington National Cemetery.  Enjoy a tram tour of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Changing of the Guard, Challenger Memorial, Kennedy Graveside and Lee Mansion. This afternoon, you will stop at the White House visitor’s Center before having lunch on your own at the Reagan Building/International Trade Center Food Court.
After lunch you will have free time to visit the Smithsonian Museum of your choice.  Next you will have an included dinner at The Front Page Restaurant and Grill.

Day 5 – Thursday, April 18 – Breakfast is included at your hotel.  This morning you will visit the National Zoological Park, part of the Smithsonian Institution, Its animal population totals nearly 3000 specimens and is housed in 163-acres within picturesque Rock Creek Park.  Visit Amazonia, a re-created microcosm of the world's largest rain forest.  Don't miss the pandas!  After lunch Tour the Washington National Cathedral, drive along Embassy Row, and visit Ford’s Theatre.  Next you will stop by the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial.  After visiting the memorials you will enjoy an evening of bowling and dinner included at Pinstripes.  a 34,000 square foot entertainment and dining venue located in the heart of Georgetown on M and Wisconsin with a scratch kitchen that features Italian and American cuisine.

Day 6 – Friday, April 19 – This morning Breakfast is included at your hotel before visiting the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park.  The memorial honors the 184 victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks at The Pentagon.  Next you will visit the Air Force Memorial and the National Archives before lunch on your own at the National Place.  After lunch you will depart Washington, D.C for the Holiday Inn Wilkes Barre, PA.  A Farewell dinner is included this evening at your hotel.

Day 7 – Saturday, April 20 - After an included breakfast, depart for home with wonderful memories of your tour to Washington DC.
