Escape To The Cape

Day 1 - Sunday, May 18 -A morning departure brings you to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where you will have free time for lunch on your own at Seafood Sam's. After lunch you will tour the first Cape Towns, SANDWICH and HYANNIS. All Cape Cod towns were founded by people unhappy with the Boston-area Puritans. You will travel through SANDWICH which is the oldest town on Cape Cod. Hear stories of the Puritans, Quakers, Shawme, Dexter Grist Mill, Hoxie House and the First Church of Christ. You will view sparkling exhibits at The Sandwich Glass Museum and watch molten glass, drawn from the furnace, blown and pressed into exquisite shapes.  Next your guide will conduct a tour of HYANNIS including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a view of the St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy Family. Your guide will assist with check in at the Hampton Inn Cape Cod, dinner is included this evening.

Day 2 - Monday, May 19 -  Breakfast is included at your hotel.   This morning depart for Woods Hole, where you will board the Steamship Authority ferry to the island of Martha's Vineyard.  Upon arrival, you will be treated to the "Down Island Tour" where you will learn the history and lifestyle of the islanders as you pass through Vineyard Haven.  There will be free time for lunch in Edgartown.  Travel through Oaks Bluffs to see "Cottage City" with its brightly painted cottages and decorative "gingerbread trim. Depart the island at 5:00pm. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 3 - Tuesday, May 20 -  Breakfast is included at your hotel.   This morning meet your local guide  and you will travel to America's Hometown - PLYMOUTH. Home of our Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country's first settlements. A picture stop will be made at the Forefather's Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the United States. Board a Lobster Tales Cruise to learn about the many creatures that live in the Plymouth Harbor. You will have free time for lunch on your own on the waterfront. There will be photo stops made at Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower II, a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World. Admission is included to Plimoth Plantation, the first permanent European settlement in southern New England. Lobster dinner is included this evening. Alternate entrees will be available for any "landlubbers" not wishing to eat shellfish. 

Day 4 - Wednesday, May 21 -Breakfast is included at your hotel. This morning meet your guide for a full day of touring to include the Eastham Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and a drive through of the Cape Cod National Seashore area.  Next you will visit "Land's End" - PROVINCETOWN.  You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod.  Formerly known as the "Province Lands" the Pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. After lunch on your own you will take part in a one-hour Dune Tour excursion. Where you will ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Your dune driver will drop you off to visit the PILGRIM MONUMENT & PROVINCETOWN MUSEUM.  This 255-foot tower that dominates the town is the tallest granite structure in the United States. The walk to the top is 116 steps and 60 ramps. The Provincetown Museum exhibits highlight the arrival of the Mayflower Pilgrims, the town's rich maritime history and the building of the monument. Dinner is included this evening.    

Day 5 - Thursday, May 22 - Breakfast is included at your hotel before departing for home with wonderful memories of your trip the Cape!

Your Tour Includes:  Roundtrip motorcoach transportation, 4 night's lodging, 8 meals, attractions as highlighted in the itinerary, luggage handling for one suitcase per person, hotel taxes, taxes and gratuities on the included meals, the services of a Cyr Northstar Tour Director and tour planning services.

Payment & Reservations:  A deposit of $200 per person is required to confirm reservations and is due at the time of booking.  

Final payment is due by April 3, 2025.
