Payment & Reservations: A deposit of $200 per person is required to confirm reservations and is due at the time of booking.  

Final payment is due by July 8, 2019.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Thursday, August 8 – A morning departure will bring to you scenic Newport, Rhode Island.  En route, enjoy a visit to BEAVERTAIL LIGHTHOUSE & MUSEUM,
In Jamestown, RI. Built in 1856, it is the premiere lighthouse in Rhode Island and the site of the 3rd lighthouse in America. Views are spectacular. Museum is most interesting on life at the lighthouse. A Get Acquainted dinner is included this evening at Bay Voyage Restaurant. After dinner, check into your hotel the Cambria Inn & Suites located in Middletown, Rhode Island.


Day 2 – Friday, August 9 – Breakfast is included at your hotel.  Today, enjoy exploring the Mansions of Newport.  First up will be The Elms.  The Elms sits on a 10-acre park that contains every technological marvel of its time and was the first Newport home to have full electricity.  This afternoon, visit The Breakers, summer home of Cornelius Vanderbilt II, President and Chairman of the New York Central Railroad.  This 70-room Italian Renaissance style house includes a 45 foot high central Great Hall and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.  Dinner is included at the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant.  After dinner stroll through the shopping districts and wharfs at your leisure before returning to your hotel.

Day 3 – Saturday, August 10 – Breakfast is included at your hotel.  This morning, visit The Marble House, the summer home to Mr. & Mrs. William Vanderbilt. The cost of the house was reported to be $11 Million, of which $7 million was spent on 500,000 c.f. of marble. Upon completion, Mr. Vanderbilt gave the house to his wife as a 39th birthday present. After free time for lunch on your own downtown, you will visit the Green Animals Topiary Gardens in Portsmouth, RI. This Topiary is the oldest and most northern topiary garden in the United States. The 7-acre estate overlooks Narragansett Bay. This evening enjoy dinner and the show, “Funny Money” at the Newport Dinner Playhouse.


Day 4 – Sunday, August 11 – Breakfast is included at your hotel.  This morning, take a final tour of Ocean Drive Historic District before bidding farewell to Newport and traveling home with fond memories of your tour to Newport.
