A morning departure will start this tour to beautiful Stowe, Vermont.  Your first stop on the journey will take you to Montpelier, VT where you will have lunch on your own at Buddy’s Famous. After lunch you will visit Ben & Jerry’s where you will have a factory tour followed by a stop in the Flavoroom.  Next, continue to the Trapp Family Lodge, visit the famed lodge that the Von Trapp family made their own after leaving their beloved Austria during World War II.   Dinner is included this evening at the lodge.

Full Vermont hot and cold Breakfast buffet is included at the lodge.  This morning you will enjoy a Trapp Family Lodge Tour.  “What was once a modest farm grew into a world-renowned resort, and is now overseen by Johannes, the youngest of the singing von Trapp children, and his family.”    After lunch meet your LOCAL GUIDE and take ROUTE 100 through Vermont meandering through the area hearing interesting stories and tidbits.  See the oldest COVERED BRIDGE (A love story) in Stowe.   Take in LAKE CHAMPLAIN CHOCOLATES, DANFORTH PEWTER and the CABOT CHEESE ANNEX and SMUGGLERS NOTCH DISTILLERY.  Dinner tonight is included at the Bierhall, the Von Trapp Brewing Bierhall Restaurant conveniently situated on the grounds of Trapp Family Lodge.

Full Vermont hot and cold Breakfast buffet is included at the lodge.  This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of Rock of Ages.  Rock of Ages Smith quarry is nearly 600 feet deep! Watch our quarriers as they cut enormous blocks of granite. “The artisans will amaze you: Visit the factory to see sculptors and artisans transform hard, durable granite into delicate works of art.” After visiting Rock of Ages quarry you will have an included lunch at the Steakhouse Restaurant in Barre, VT before departing for home.
